Elves are marvellous. They cause marvels.
Elves are fantastic. They create fantasies.
Elves are glamorous. They project glamour.
Elves are enchanting. They weave enchantment.
Elves are terrific. They beget terror.
The thing about words is that the meanings can twist just like a snake, and if you want to find snakes look for them behind words that have changed their meaning.
No-one ever said elves are nice.
Elves are bad.
I think I've been reading waaay too many Terry Prachett books. Well, that isn't exactly possible but I'm sure that I'm getting close. I've been trying to read all of my brother's Discworld books (by Pratchett of course) in order for the past year or so. The problem is...I've actually started to do this at a decent pace without any other books inbetween. Heck, sometimes I don't even get an hour between the ending of one and the beginning of another. I haven't chain-booked (not unlike chain-smoking) like this for quite a while. I should probably go into rehab or something. Now go read Terry Pratchett books damnit! You'll like them very much. *runs off to read*
